Miranda Shaw returns to an ailing farm and mounting debt after her father’s death. She discovers there is little chance of selling the farm in its present state so she embarks on an ambitious plan to turn it around. She didn’t count on opposition from the farm manager, Jake Taylor. Undeterred, Miranda attempts to juggle her city job and the farm – an act that becomes increasingly difficult.

Between Jake’s objections, her boyfriend’s inability to understand what she is trying to do and her boss’s growing impatience with her absence Miranda wonders if it is worth it. Will she take Jake’s advice and return to the city? Or will she stay and see her plan through, whatever the cost?

It’s only when Miranda is standing at her favourite spot on the farm that the answer becomes clear…
